United Food Bank “…neighbors helping neighbors” Partnership
Faith Church of the Valley is a community distribution site for United Food Bank’s food purchase program called Help Yourself! This program offers households the ability to stretch their food dollars by taking advantage of the food bank’s buying power through the purchase of pre-assembles fresh food boxes .
The pre-assembled food boxes contain:
5 fresh meats (5 lbs chicken, 1 lb bacon, 1 lb hamburger, 1 lb sausage or turkey, 1 lb lunch meat or hot dogs)
5 packaged dry goods that complement the meats
4 items of fresh produce & fruit
The program can also include complimentary bread and pastry, and sometimes dairy products.
The cost is $16 per box (no box limits)
Cash or food stamps only.

As a distribution site for this program, FCOV asks that food boxes be ORDERED and PRE-PAID at least five days before our scheduled distribution date. The istribution date is typically the 4th Thursday of each month.
Boxes can be picked- up anytime between 9:00am – 11am at FCOV. (If you are unable to pick up your box at the scheduled time please call 480.838.6559 to make other arrangements.)

Holidays can affect distribution days and/or times, so contact FCOV for deadlines and schedules.
Should you need food assistance at any other time, you can take advantage of this weekly cooperative by going directly to United Food Bank’s Javelina Annex at:
358 E. Javelina Avenue, Mesa, west of Mesa Drive between US 60 and Baseline – next to the Motor Vehicle Department.
The Help Yourself! Program operates every Friday* (except holidays), from 8:00am – 2:00pm.
